Salsa Roja

Charred tomatoes and chilies blended with Mexican spices for incredible depth of flavor.

Ingredients - Roma tomatoes, serrano peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro, spices

Char whole tomatoes and peppers directly on gas burner or under broiler.

In a blender or food processor, pulse charred veggies with fresh garlic, onion, lime juice.

Add cilantro, salt and spices like cumin, oregano, smoky chili powder. Pulse to desired texture.

Season to taste. Adjust heat by adding more serranos or spice blend.

Serve chunky salsa roja with tortilla chips or tacos. Goes great on everything!

Top fajita chicken or steak with extra salsa roja for awesome flavor.

Garnish bowl with lime wedges. Store leftover salsa in the fridge up to 5 days.

Customize flavors with minced mango or pineapple and cayenne.
